I recently came upon a major buy from a 98-year-old woman with serious class and style. She was the wife of a chiropractor from Kansas City and she kept most her dresses and shoes in impeccable condition. I was mostly drawn to the simple yet elegant 1940s dresses in subtle neutral tones. Before the circle skirts and petticoats of the 1950s, dresses from the 1940s reflected a more liberal and understated decade during WWII and Roosevelt’s/Truman’s presidencies with their ease and drape.
These 1940s and lace dresses would be perfect for the Spring weddings and parties that are just around the corner. All of these dresses and more are now at Vintalier, 412 NW 13th Ave, Portland, OR.
